In accordance with the FPSO (Study and Examination Regulations), all students enrolled in the Bachelor’s programs in Civil or Environmental Engineering must complete a mandatory internship.
Key details of the internship:
- Duration: 6 weeks (in continuous periods of at least three weeks)
- Should be related to the field of study (e.g., craft businesses, construction sites, technical offices, project and construction management, etc.)
- Deadline for submission: One month before the end of the second academic semester (SoSe 25 ends on 30.09.2025)
Internship submission:
- Via the internship office website
- As a PDF, max. 5 MB -> Brief confirmation email, confirming the application
-> Wait for feedback
Note:
- Due to the examination period, which takes place during the semester break, there is often less time for the mandatory internship than anticipated. We recommend completing the internship before starting your studies, if possible.
- If you’re unsure whether the internship is related to your studies, you can submit the internship proposal to the internship office in advance and receive confirmation.
Recognition of apprenticeship / special cases:
Everything is described in more detail on the internship office’s website and in the corresponding information sheet.
