The Department Day is the graduation ceremony for all Bachelor’s and Master’s graduates from the programs in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Transportation Systems, Engineering and Hydrogeology, as well as Resource-Efficient and Sustainable Construction.
During this festive occasion, approximately 500 graduates receive their final certificates each year.
The event features various speeches, awards for outstanding teaching are presented, and afterwards, there is a social gathering with food and drinks, accompanied by live music. Overall, it’s a wonderful conclusion for all graduates.
The student association organizes the graduation ceremony each year in collaboration with a different department. While the respective department primarily manages the stage program, we take care of the culinary arrangements. Organizing and executing such a large event is an exciting and enjoyable task.
Additionally, we award teaching prizes on Department Day. Based on your semester evaluations, we identify your top three professors and instructors from the previous year. These educators receive a certificate and a prize during the Department Day. They are always very pleased to receive this recognition and have expressed to us that it significantly enhances their applications in their future careers. So, make sure to keep evaluating diligently! 😊
This years Department Day is on the 5th of July.
All students are invited who have had all required credits recorded by the end of May.
