The Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering degree programs are non-restricted admission (NC-free) programs. Instead of an NC, we have the foundation and orientation exams (GOPs), which, according to the new FPSO for WiSe 24/25, must be completed by the end of the second semester.
You are automatically registered for these GOPs upon enrollment.
Environmental Engineering:
- Advanced Mathematics 1 (10 ECTS)
- Technical Mechanics 1 for Environmental Engineers (5 ECTS)
- Civil and Environmental Informatics 1 (5 ECTS)
- General and Inorganic Chemistry (5 ECTS)
Civil Engineering:
- Advanced Mathematics 1 (10 ECTS)
- Technical Mechanics 1 for Civil Engineers (10 ECTS)
- Civil and Environmental Informatics 1 (5 ECTS)
The GOPs can be repeated only once. With the new FPSO, you have the option of a third attempt for one GOP if you pass 3 out of 4 GOPs in Environmental Engineering or 2 out of 3 GOPs in Civil Engineering.
The third attempt must be passed by the end of the second semester. Second attempts typically take place around 4–6 weeks after the first attempt.
All details can be found in the “FPSO – Study and Examination Regulations.”
