The International Relations Commitee of the Student Association

The International Affairs Committee consists of several students who address all international matters within our faculty from a student perspective.

This includes supporting international students at our student association as well as fostering international connections with other student associations.

Support for International Students at BGU Faculty

Our faculty hosts a diverse range of international students, including traditional Erasmus and TUMexchange students, those enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s programs at TUM, and Double-Degree students from partner universities abroad, among others.

We in the International Relations Committee strive to inform all these groups about the work of the student representation and our services through special information evenings and postings in English. However, it is especially important for you (the international students of our faculty) to understand that you are an integral part of the Student Association of Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Geodesy, and that you can approach us with any issues you encounter during your studies!

International Networking with Other Student Councils

When it comes to networking with other student councils, it’s essential to distinguish between two different types of partnerships.

It often begins with a group of students from abroad planning a study trip to Munich to explore architectural and structural highlights. We assist them by providing tips for visits or supporting them with organization. During the stay of these student groups in Munich, we also arrange meetings between our student representatives, the International Relations Committee, and the guests, which often lay the groundwork for further collaboration.

We have maintained good relationships with other student associations for some time, allowing for regular meetings where we can exchange ideas on various approaches to university policy and general student issues.
